Enjoyed myself tremendously this time around! Bart, Rose and I had a
good 3 hour laugh at Actorlympics,
an improv comedy ala “Whose Line Is It Anyway”
featuring Patrick Teoh, Rashid Salleh, Edwin Sumun, Jason Lo, Afdlin
Shauki and Ida Nerina! As usual, they poke fun at quite a number of
things related to Malaysians in general and also current events. Jason
Lo (that singer who gave us Evening News a couple of years back) was
surprisingly good as well as Ida Nerina whom we all know for the
serious roles she plays in most Malay movies. My personal highlight of
the show has gotta be that one suggestion I made to Afdlin Shauki to
do Britney Spears with severe hemorrhoid problems! Heheh! I reckon
this year’s is a bit better than the one last year.
Still, none of the comedians are able to do like what their “Whose Line”
counterparts can, i.e. song improvization. That’d be something to see
and listen to indeed! Afdlin or Lo doing an improv-ed Siti Nurhaliza
song in dangdut perhaps? Heheh!

This is coming to you live from The Matchroom at Mont Kiara where them Xfresh kids are having a blast of a gathering, chugging down junk food earlier at Burger King and now thrashing each other out on games. Many thanks to Shaz for the invitation (as usual!) and quick greets go out to Albster, Elena, Haz, Ardeana, Efie, Rizal, Andrew, Ekam, Athira, Syefri, KJ, Joanne, Yazmin, Bhavesh (my long lost twin? heh!) etc. Took some pictures but unfortunately there's no wifi networks available here nor the machines in this place have the USB ports easily accessible for me to hook my digicam up. Be posting them later tonight when I get home. After this, I'm off to The Actors Studio Bangsar to watch Actorlympics!
Update (5/11:0230 hours): The pictures are now available.
Two individuals proceeded towards the apex of a natural geologic
protuberance, the purpose of their expedition being the procurement
of a sample of fluid hydride of oxygen in a large vessel, the exact size
of which was unspecified.
One member of the team precipitously descended, sustaining severe
damage to the upper cranial portion of his anatomical structure;
subsequently the second member of the team performed a self
rotational translation oriented in the same direction taken by the first
team member.
Three more hours till I hit the 24-hours-since-I-woke-up mark and I’m
still wide awake… Bwaaaggghhh!!
Hahaa! There’s always gotta be a first for anything. Lost the titled
posting I made yesterday. It wasn’t intentional. I guess there’s always
a price to pay for being high on adrenaline! I slept at 11:30pm and
woke up at 2:00am and have been up since. Nothing to do so I
cleaned my room. I can see the floor again! Insomnia has it’s
moments. “Sleep is for the weak” is my motto now.

I suppose this is the news that some of y’all have been waiting
anxiously for. Those who are well acquainted with me in person would
know that I’m not the type who can just sit around quietly and do
nothing. I *have* been working since last January actually, albeit
without pay. A bunch of us got around to form
atQuest (http://www.atquest.com/)
(intentionally not hyperlinked). We have been busy setting up the
company and office back in January, then recruiting a few employees
along the way as well as delivering a few projects for some
organizations in between then till now, all on our own capital and
expense. As such, I figured I shouldn’t talk much about it (if not at all)
until the day comes where the founders/directors receive their first
paycheck (or part of it — employees have been given regular pay
nonetheless) ‘cos at least it’s a good indicator on the outlook of this
start-up venture at this point and that the stuff is absolutely real,
running and certainly ain’t no vaporware! Heh! So there it is!
Alhamdulillah, praise be to God indeed! I too can breathe a sigh of
relief right now. :)
Irma turns
legit today. Go wish her Happy 21! Go have a ball, Bricky!
A quick one also to wish them Boilermakers
good luck on their finals this coming week! Go break some balls, Boilers!
